Woods was asked about his relationship with Trump following his final round at The Northern Trust Sunday.

"Well, I've known Donald for a number of years,'' Woods said, according to ESPN's Bob Harig. "We've played golf together. We've had dinner together. I've known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.''

The topics of Trump's policies, how some people are threatened by him, and Woods' seemingly friendly relationship with the president were also brought up.

"Well, he's the president of the United States. You have to respect the office. No matter who is in the office, you may like, dislike personality or the politics, but we all must respect the office,'' he said.

Woods was then pressed about the state and discourse of race relations, but he wouldn't comment on such a topic.

"No. I just finished 72 holes and am really hungry," he said.

Woods has played golf with past presidents, including Barrack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush.
