Hennessey suffered a knock whilst playing for Wales earlier this week, clashing with Hull midfielder David Meyler.

Speroni is now set to take centre stage between the sticks as Palace look to take a surprise result at Selhurst Park against the reigning champions.

He has only played six games in all competitions since the end of the 2014/15 season.

The Argentine has played 392 games for the club since signing from Dundee in the 2004/05 season.

The report also claims that Hodgson has rejected the chance to sign a goalkeeper on a free as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
