Tappan Zee Bridge demolished in big bang

Footage shows the moment an explosion demolished a section of the Tappan Zee Bridge over the Hudson River in the New York City. Explosives were used to remove the eastern part of the former bridge between Westchester and Rockland counties. Opened in 1955, the bridge was one of the primary crossings of the Hudson River north of New York City.
