Rare sight: huge blimp flies over London
This footage, which was filmed today (May 14) at approximately 10.20 am, shows a giant blimp flying over Deptford, London. It’s the Goodyear Blimp, an airship used to capture aerial views of the British Touring Car Championship taking place this weekend at Brands Hatch. Blimps were used during World War I and II. Today, they are mainly seen during sports and entertainment events in the US.
