Bird's eye view: White-tailed sea eagle captures stunning Orkney cliffs

A literal bird's eye view as Marra the white-tailed sea eagle soars over Orkney cliffs. This piece of footage was taken at Marwick Head, near Kitchener's Memorial on the west coast of the Orkney Islands, enjoying the views out over the Atlantic towards Iceland, and beyond to North America and Canada from the western edge of Orkney. The species was once close to extinction but numbers are improving on account of species reintroduction programmes. "The species is doing well here now but still in tiny numbers with just over 100 pairs in Scotland," said Elite Falconry, the group responsible for the footage.
