Hundreds of trees were blown over by strong winds brought by Typhoon Kompasu in southern China. Video filmed in the city of Quanzhou in Fujian Province on October 12 shows a motorcyclist that was hit by a tree blown over by the strong winds laying on the road while passersby and an officer checked on him. Another clip shows workers clearing up the road and other fallen trees laid on the streets. The motorcyclist was sent to hospital for treatment and he was not in a life-threatening condition. Several schools have closed in consideration of students' safety. Over 900 trees were blown over by the strong winds brought by Typhoon Kompasu. The video was provided by local media with permission.
