Noisy protest outside Kashmir separatist leaders home as he is given a life sentence in India
Protesters gathered for a noisy demonstration outside the house of a separatist leader in Srinagar on Wednesday 25 May, after he was handed a life sentence in India. Yaseen Malik, a separatist leader in Jammu and Kashmir, was jailed in connection with a 2017 terrorism funding case. He was convicted on 19 May. He advocates for the separation of Kashmir from both India and Pakistan.
