Timelapse captures Armed Forces Day national event in Scarborough
A timelapse camera captured the Armed Forces Day event on Saturday (June 25) in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The Duke of Kent also attended the event with tens of thousands of visitors who flocked to the seaside town. The show displayed various aircrafts including the famous Red Arrows formation team and the Eurofighter Typhoon. The RAF Falcons parachute team also took part in the event and made a spectacular landing on the beach in front of a large crowd of spectators. Many roads were closed off to allow the event to take place which was expected to attract over 100,000 visitors. The Armed Forces Day National Event was supposed to be held in Scarborough back in 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid pandemic.
