Mac Miller Remembered at Vigil in Pittsburgh Park That Inspired Album Name

More than 2,000 people attended a vigil for rapper Mac Miller at Frick Park in Pittsburgh on September 11.The park gained international fame after Miller, who died on September 7 at the age of 26, named his debut studio album Blue Slide Park after the slide in Frick Park.Pittsburgh Public Works officials painted the slide blue ahead of the vigil.According to local media, Miller’s grandmother attended the vigil and said how much the city meant to her grandson. “He would be so excited,” she said. “I wish he was here, but he loves you all.
