Snow blankets cities in Jordan as temperatures plunge
Snow covered cities in Jordan on Sunday night (January 17) as temperatures across the Middle East plunged. Footage shows the heavy downpour of snow in the capital Amman. Forecasters said that rain showers will fall on the north and central parts of Jordan. The cold and wet front moved across the region, bringing freezing temperatures which could last until Wednesday. Istanbul’s Metropolitan Municipality’s (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) warned residents that roads would be covered in snow.
