A 96-year-old woman was pulled from a car on the train tracks seconds before a passenger train came through and hit the vehicle in Lombard, Illinois, on January 14, local news reported. Antoinette Lazarra was assisted by two Lombard residents prior to the arrival of a police officer. According to the Municipal Government of Lombard Village, Lazarra had been reported missing earlier in the day and appeared disoriented, having lost control of her car and driven on to the tracks.
