Amy Huberman pays touching Father’s Day tribute to her dad Harry

© Provided by Associated News Amy Huberman’s dad received a touching Father’s Day write up from his daughter on Sunday, when she paid tribute to him in a heartwarming way.

The Striking Out actress was one of three people to take part in an Irish Times article entitled, Father’s Day: My father before he was a dad.

The mother-of-two recounted her dad’s childhood, revealing that he was the son of a Polish immigrant who had been evacuated from London during the the World War II air raids.

She went on to describe how his youth shaped him saying, ‘I can still see that glint in his eye, the cheeky grin, that curiosity. My Dad has always been a joke teller.’

Explaining that he’s now battling Parkinson’s disease she said, I admire his courage and willing to still paint, despite the shake in his hand, despite the fact that he can no longer write, despite everything else.’

She finished the piece: ‘I am lucky to know him. I am lucky to call him Dad.’
