A new trailer for the upcoming documentary on the legendary singer titled Whitney was released on Wednesday, featuring intimate home footage of Houston with her loved ones.

The film is the first to be officially sanctioned by the singer’s estate, and includes several never-before-seen moments of Houston -- including home movies, unreleased recordings and interviews with those closest to her -- to provide additional insight into the life of the beloved artist.

“One thing, Paula Abdul ain’t sh**,” Houston says. “That girl is singing off-key on the record.”

The trailer also touches on her relationships with her best friend, Robyn Crawford, as well as her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, addressing rumors head-on. Whitney hits theaters on July 6.

Houston was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in 2012, and her death was ruled as an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine as contributors. She was 48 years old.
