Well, it appears Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is going head-to-head with Hanks by gatecrashing a wedding in a kayak.

© Provided by National magazine company ltd (Hearst UK) On Saturday, Trudeau's personal photographer Adam Scotti tweeted a photo of Trudeau approaching a newlywed couple called Michelle and Heiner in his kayak to give them his congratulations.

The Independent reports the Prime Minister had been kayaking in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve near Victoria when he spotted the couple and decided to paddle over to them to say "hello", shake the hand of the groom, kiss the bride, and pose for a photo opportunity.

The bride later explained to CTV News of the moment she met Trudeau: "He said, 'I'm not going to take my shirt off this time'", referring to previous Trudeau shirtless selfie appearance the prime minister made at a wedding ceremony last year.

Of course, Twitter soon began swooning.

Not long after the meet-and-greet, the 45-year-old politician accidentally fell out of his kayak, but continued to style it out in a pair of black sunglasses and a smile.

Classic Trudeau.
