Five Dublin schools to re-open after mid-term break following structural inspections
The Department of Education has confirmed that five schools in Dublin that were inspected for structural problems will be open after the mid-term break.
Ten schools that were constructed by Western Building Systems (WBS) were inspected yesterday.
One school, Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada in Lucan, will be partially closed due to issues.
Structural issues which require both external and internal intervention were identified.

A spokesman for the Department of Education said: "An appropriate engineering solution, to be implemented during the mid-term break, will allow the ground floor of this building to reopen after the break.
"The interim accommodation team in the Department of Education and Skills is working with the school principal and patron to put in place an off-site interim accommodation solution for the remaining classes with a view to ensuring that all classes can be accommodated when the school reopens on 5 November."
Results on four other schools are still awaiting assessment results.
Three schools in the capital built by WBS have already been forced to close due to structural issues found.
Last Friday, a section of Ardgillan Community College in Balbriggan, which was built by WBS, was forced to close due to safety concerns.
This was followed by the complete closure of Tyrrelstown Educate Together National School and St Luke's National School in Dublin 15 earlier this week.
The schools that will be re-opening are:
- Luttrellstown Community College
- Gaelscoil Shliabh Rua, Dublin 18
- Broombridge Educate Together National School
- Scoil Choilm, Porterstown
- Scoil Chaitlín Maude, Tallaght
Structural issues were found in Scoil Chaitlín Maude, but they only affect the outside of the school.
A fence will be installed around the school building and protective decking will be installed.
All works will be put in place during the mid-term break.
