Gardai hunting man 'who threatened motorists in Dublin with knife and bottle'

A manhunt is underway this morning for a man who is understood to have threatened motorists with a knife and bottle.

The incident took place at around 6am this morning in the Arbour Hill area of north Dublin.

The man has since fled the scene and gardai have launched a search for the suspect.

An armed Garda presence remains in the area this morning.

A source said: "The man threatened a motorist with a knife when they were trying to get into the driver's car this morning.

"When that didn't work out, they then tried another car while armed with a bottle and they did manage to force the door open."

Gardai confirmed to Dublin Live that they were called to the scene when a man armed with a knife threatened motorists in the Arbour Hill area.

Investigations are ongoing.
