Game of Thrones filming might be wrapped, but Peter Dinklage is making the most of his time on Irish shores.

The award-winning actor plays Tyrion Lannister in the smash hit series filmed in Northern Ireland and wasted no time in exploring Dublin at its finest. The 47-year-old was pictured leaving the five-star Merrion Hotel on Tuesday, alongside his daughter, whose name has never been publicly revealed and wife Erica Schmidt, who is expecting again.

The superstar actor was keeping it low-key as he exited the venue, after enjoying a sold-out concert at Vicar Street last night to see The National perform on a date night. And singer Roisin O certainly seemed starstruck during the gig.

Dinklage was a notable absence from Sunday night's Emmy Awards. despite having two at home and a total of six nominations. The show was ineligible for nomination due to its late air date.

Dublin has become something of a hub for GOT stars - Liam Cunningham, who plays Sir Davos lives here, as does Aidan Gillen, who up until the season seven finale was a main character. And Natalie Dormer, who played Margaery Tyrell until 2016, holds a soft spot for the capital, least of all because her fiancé Anthony Byrne is from here.
