Maura has most definitely made her mark on this years Love Island, so much so that Ladbrokes have tipped her to win the show.

The bookmaker has slashed Maura’s odds into 9/1 from 16/1 to win Love Island, following a rush of bets in shops this morning.

The Longford native was a hit with fans since she arrived in the villa over two weeks ago but she really won the hearts of the public on Monday evening after she held her ground with Tom during their argument and told him where to go.

However, with her relationship Tom still recovering, it might be wishful thinking to assume that she will win when coupled up with him. Ladbrokes have put them at 25/1 to win as a pair.

‘Maura has become a hero overnight and after standing up to Tom, we were flooded with bets on her being the top girl,’ said Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes.

She continued: ‘However, punters are hoping a new islander comes in and sweeps her off her feet as her chances of winning with Tom don’t look great.’

Whether or not Maura wins the show, she has definitely already won the title of most entertaining housemate in our eyes!
