Alison Hammond is no stranger to getting herself into some sticky situations while on This Morning.

However, the presenter almost managed to get herself arrested while she did a segment for the ITV show.

Filming from Pisa in Italy, Alison was giving details on how to win a holiday when she was approached by some Italian police who tried to get her out of the area.

Continuing to do her link, the former Strictly Come Dancing star admitted they didn't actually have permission to film there and was herded away.

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield couldn’t stop laughing, and later cut back to Alison who admitted that the police were still lurking in the background.

After they spotted her again, she then went running down the street with Holly and Phil laughing at her misfortune.

Alison previously made a hilarious blunder on the show, when she attended an Oscars party in February.

Recalling one incident as she approached 'The Cadillac Party', Alison said that a group of fans were shouting her name in hope of some autographs – but as the situation fully dawned on her, Oscar winner Allison Janney was in fact the person they were hollering out for.

Of course there are few things more memorable than when Alison accidentally wiped out a crew member for the show's 30th anniversary.

She was fronting the show's classic floating weather map in the Liverpool docks – assisted by two sexy sailors, of course.

And it all seemed to be going pretty well until Alison hopped over to Northern Ireland, with the presenter pushing one of the sailors into the water as they tried to help her over.
