Nobel Peace Prize winner talks about her hopes for future

October 5, 2018 - Human rights activist Nadia Murad received the 2018 Nobel Piece Prize for her work to end sexual violence used in armed conflicts. A member of the Yazidi minority in northern Iraq, Murad suffered sexual abuse when she was held captive by ISIS members in 2014. She now speaks on behalf of women and children who have been victims of human trafficking and genocide. In September 2017, Murad talked with National Geographic Editor in Chief Susan Goldberg, discussing her activism and hopes for the future.
