Triumph Motorcycles is gearing up to add another variant to its famous Street Triple line-up. The RS version of this naked motorcycle will be launched in India soon.

The British-manufacturer’s official India twitter account has teased a short video about its Indian launch. In fact, the same video was retweeted by Vimal Sumbly, Triumph Motorcycle India’s managing director. Currently, the Indian market is home to only the S version which doesn’t get all the bells and whistles like the top-spec RS variant does.

The Street Triple RS is not just loaded with additional high-spec components and features but also gets more power. The 765cc inline-three cylinder on the RS produces 123bhp and 77Nm, which is almost 10bhp more than the S model. The RS gets top of the line suspension setup as well. It rides on 41mm Showa front forks and an Ohlins monoshock, both are adjustable for preload, compression damping and rebound damping. It also gets the Brembo M50 brakes which is one of the best brakes in the industry. This British bike also gets the Pirelli Supercorsa tyres which is known for its super grippy nature.

The main highlight of the Street Triple RS is its instrument cluster. It is new, gets LCD instrumentation and has multiple viewing modes. The five riding modes can be viewed using the same LCD screen. With all these extra performance upgrades, we’re expecting Triumph to ask a lot of money for it over the standard variant. Our guess is something between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
