Honda WR-V

The WR-V from Honda is a crossover hatchback based on the Jazz. However, it looks tougher and much more appealing than the Jazz. Buyers will be presented with the options of a 1.2 litre petrol engine that delivers 89 bhp and a 1.5 litre, turbocharged, diesel motor that puts out 99 bhp. You also get a good bunch of features such as a sunroof, touch-controlled automatic AC, a reversing camera, a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system and much more. You will see the WR-V in Honda showrooms across the nation on the 16th of March.

Toyota Corolla Altis facelift

To battle its increasingly formidable rivals, Toyota is bringing in a facelifted version of their Corolla Altis sedan. The car has been given cosmetic upgrades including sleeker headlight clusters, a new front grille that is narrower than before and new LED tail lamps. The inside sees a larger infotainment display, a revised centre console and the usage of soft-touch materials in the dashboard for an upmarket feel. The powertrain continues to be the same set of petrol and diesel motors as before.

Lexus RX450h

The RX450h will be one of the cars that Lexus, which is the luxury division of Japanese car maker Toyota, will bring to Indian shores during their first planned official entry into this market in March. Under its long bonnet, this SUV will most likely be powered by the same engine seen in international markets, a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine and an electric motor that together produce a combined power of 306 bhp.

Porsche Panamera

After the recent launches of the 718 siblings in India, iconic German supercar maker Porsche is set to launch the latest iteration of its 4-seater sports sedan, the Panamera, on the 22nd of March 2017. Initially, the Panamera will be available only in its Turbo version with a 4.0 litre, 550 bhp, V8 engine. Buyers will be provided the option of standard and long wheelbase models, and Porsche will release more variants of the car later in the year.

Lexus ES300h

Being a luxury brand, it will not be right if Lexus did not go toe-to-toe with bigwigs such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. In order to do just that, Lexus has the ES300h in the pipeline for the Indian market. This luxury sedan is extremely well appointed, superbly comfortable and as an added bonus, eco-friendly as well. Power for this car comes from a union of a 2.5 litre petrol engine and an electric motor that put out a combined power figure of 202 bhp.

Tata Tigor

For quite a while, we have known this car only by its codename of Kite5. However, we now know that it will be called the Tigor and it will serve as a replacement for the old Indigo eCS, one of the very first cars in the Indian compact sedan segment. We think Tata will provide it with both petrol and diesel options, but initially put it on sale with a 5 speed manual gearbox only. An AMT version will follow later. The Tigor is expected to make its arrival around the middle of 2017.

Audi A3

The easiest way to own an Audi just got better as the German luxury and sportscar maker is all set to launch the latest version of their A3 sedan in the Indian car market. The new Audi A3 comes with a new engine as well, which is a 1.4 litre, 4 cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that makes 150 hp. A 2.0 litre, turbocharged, 143 hp diesel engine is on offer as well. You also get a lot of tech, including a 7 inch Audi MMI infotainment system, Audi phone box, a panoramic sunroof, 7 airbags and way more.

Renault Duster CVT petrol

To boost the sales of the petrol version of its Duster SUV, French car maker Renault will be adding an automatic version to its Indian model range. Unlike the Duster diesel which has an AMT unit, the petrol version, which is driven by the 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder petrol motor that generates 103 bhp, will come equipped with a CVT automatic. The Duster CVT will be a fully loaded SUV, as it will be made available only in the higher trim levels.
