The big cats of the world should not be taken lightly. They're fast, agile, and strong, as this video from a wildlife park in China shows. In it, we see a tiger tear off the front bumper of a Volkswagen as if it was held on by Scotch tape.

The video was shot at the Badaling Wildlife Park in Beijing, the same drive-through park where a woman was mauled to death by a tiger just a few weeks ago. Thankfully, in this case it's only the car that suffers damage. The tiger approaches the car with a look of apparent curiosity. We don't see the animal sinking its teeth into the bumper, but we can hear it. What happens next happens very quickly, as the bumper is ripped from the car in one fluid motion. The tiger then drags its prize into the trees, where it plays with it before presumably getting bored and moving on to something else.

We assume that's what happened because the car's passengers somehow manage to get the bumper back. At some point after the tiger encounter, the camera shows the exposed structure of the bumper before revealing the mangled state of the bumper cover, which is nearly split in two. You can clearly see large, bullet-sized puncture marks where the tiger's teeth met the plastic. We cringe at the thought of what those puppies could do to flesh.

So if you like your car with the bumper attached, it might be best to avoid places where there are tigers roaming around.
