When cars go wrong - the worst recalls revealed

It’s just the latest in a series of recalls that have affected many carmakers in 2014 - and in a separate issue, sister company Lexus announced it’s recalling 759,000 cars across the world after discovering a fault with the fuel pipes. Not great for those brands, but what other catastrophic car recalls have there been over the years?

The worst car recalls ever

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in America has urged drivers to act immediately on recalls for a whopping 7.8 million cars this week, including those made by BMW, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota following faulty airbags from suppliers.
