The actress, who appeared in hits like Khiladi and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, completely disappeared from the Bollywood scene in the last few years.

However, she is all set to make her comeback, reports Mumbai Mirror. Ayesha will be seen in Gadar director Anil Sharma's next, Genius, which will be the launch vehicle of his son, Utkarsh. She will play the mother of the leading lady, Ishita Chauhan.

"I was not really prepared to work again, but Anil ji was really insistent. My character is a classy, elegant and an independent woman who is also a liberal mother and has a friendly relationship with her daughter. It's not the typical, conventional mother, which is what made me say 'yes' to it," Ayesha revealed.

She may be back to acting, but is unwilling to return to the "rat race" and will give her nod only to the projects that excite her. Ayesha also has no qualms about playing a mother on screen. "I have enjoyed my time as a leading lady. One has to grow with age and accept things the way they are. I have done good work and now there is a chance for the little kids to start doing it," she said.

Genius is an action-romance which will feature debutant Utkarsh Sharma as an IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) topper. The film will go on floors this month.
