© India Today Dhanush is doing big in the industry. Basking in the success of his directorial debut Pa Paandi, Dhanush has started filming his Hollywood debut, The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakhir on Monday. Dhanush, who completed 15 years in the industry recently, started off as the lead actor in Thulluvadho Ilamai.

He went on to star in critically acclaimed films like Adhu Oru Kanaa Kaalam, Aadukalam and Mariyaan. Dhanush got the national attention after the terrific success of Raanjhanaa, in which, he played Kundan. He became a global phenomenon when his Kolaveri Di won international acclaim. According to reports, the film will be shot in Mumbai, Paris, Brussels and Rome.

The film is based on Romain Puertolas best-selling debut novel The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, which came out in 2014 and has been translated into 35 languages.

 Hollywood actor Berenice Bejo will play a pivotal role in the film, which also stars Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario.

Meanwhile, Dhanush awaits the release of Gautham's Enai Noki Paayum Thotta. He will be next seen in Soundarya Rajinikanth's Velai Illa Pattadhari 2. Dhanush's much-awaited Vada Chennai is expected to release later this year.
