© Provided by India Today Tollywood superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is controversy's favourite child. The Legend actor, who recently made headlines for slapping a fan for taking a selfie, has criticised megastar Amitabh Bachchan for rejecting his Telugu film Rythu.

According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Balakrishna was d as saying, "We went to Mumbai to meet him for this film. It was an important and good role. Although he didn't directly turn us down, he said that problems could arise, which was complete escapism."

In October last year, Balakrishna met Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 and discussed the possibility of doing a film together. Titled Rythu, the film was said to based on the rampant farmer issue.

Coincidentally, Amitabh has signed megastar Chiranjeevi-starrer biopic on Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. When asked about this collaboration, Balakrishna didn't mince words but responded with a laugh. It must be noted that Balakrishna was severely criticised by Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan's fans after he made a casteist remark against the duo.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna 101st film Paisa Vasool opened to mixed reviews from critics but has reportedly raked in Rs 20 crore at the box office. Nandamuri Balakrishna will be next seen in KS Ravikumar's film.
