a man posing for the camera © Provided by India Today Ram Charan's last outing Rangasthalam came as a relief to Tollywood, which was facing consistent failures this year. The film turned out to be a huge hit earning more than Rs 200 crore.

Weeks after the release of Rangasthalam, Mahesh Babu's film Bharat Ane Nenu hit the theatres - which also went on to win big at the box office.

However, fans of Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan started to fight between each other on whose film is better of the two.

This has not gone well with Ram Charan, who has said that these kind of fights and instigation are pointless since he is a good friend of Mahesh Babu.

Deccan Chronicle quotes him as saying, "I see attempts to pitch my film against Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu. It's such a useless attempt to make headlines. Mahesh Babu and I are good friends. And we are both very happy at the success of our films. To suggest that we are in competition with one another as to whose film will make more money is untrue. Needless attempts by mischief makers."

Ram Charan said he is happy that both the films did well at the box office and the well-being of Tollywood industry is important to him.
