Since then she has been updating her fans about her single life and work-life shenanigans. The actress was busy shooting for Hollywood web-series Treadstone.

The actress appeared in a reality show Feet Up With the Stars hosted by Lakshmi Manchu, she opened up about her breakup with her Italian ex-boyfriend and her expectations in life. Elaborating about her relationship with Michael Corsale, she said, "I was the cool type. I was very innocent and everyone would boss around me. I am a very emotional person that's why they could take over. I would say, it was a very good experience for me."

Shruti also said that there is no particular formula to fall in love. "Even now there is no formula. Good people are good at good times and the same people are bad at times. But I have no regrets. It was overall a good experience for me. I have learnt a lot and it was a learning experience. But I always look for that one great love and I will be happy to announce that this is the one I have been waiting for," she revealed.

Shruti Haasan and Michael Corsale were dating for a couple of years before they went public about their relationship on Instagram in 2016. They shuttled between Los Angeles, Mumbai and Chennai to hang out with each other.

In April, Michael Corsale took to Twitter to share a photo and a note, which hinted at their breakup. He wrote, "Life has just kept us on opposite sides of the globe unfortunately and so we have to walk solo paths it seems. But this young lady will always be my best mate. So grateful to always have her as a friend. Luv ya gal (sic)"

On the work front, Shruti Haasan is expecting the release of her upcoming Tamil film Laabam. Directed by SP Jananathan, the film has Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead role.
