The actress has been accused of cheating Bank of Baroda along with three others. It is said that an FIR has been registered against the four of them at RMC Yard police station in Karnataka.

After the initial rounds of investigation, the police officials have nabbed two people, including Nagashree and Sindhu's brother Manoj Karthikeyan Varma. The latter is said to have submitted forged documents to buy an expensive car with a loan of ₹36 lakh.

Since they have failed to repay the loan, the bank authorities have filed a complaint. TV 9 reported that the actress has been named as accused number 3 and Sudha Rajashekhar as accused number 4 in the FIR.

Sindhu Menon, who is reportedly in London, is yet to report to the cops. According to reports, the four of them have been booked under various sections of the IPC, including Section 420 (for cheating).

She received laurels for her performance in Tamil film Eeram, directed by Arivazhagan.
