Children love permanent markers like the Queen loves corgis.

Not only do they LOVE permanent markers, but they can sniff one out, no matter how well it's been concealed or locked away.

The only thing better than a permanent marker is a beautiful blank, white wall - aka, the perfect canvas.

Dr Eric Massicotte found this out the hard way, when his six-year-old son decided to get creative with a green marker pen.

But his wife didn't get mad at the discovery, oh no.

Instead she did this.

As you can see, rather than trying erase the picture of a little house, or ranting about their child's actions, she instead incorporated it into the decor.

And why not? Their son's illustration has been brilliantly executed.

It's not even the frame that's the best part - it's the description next to it, reading " Interrupted House , 2017. Marker on latex paint. Gifted to his parents, by surprise. Nov 13th."

The proud dad also wrote, "Your kids are going to do things they shouldn't. It helps if you married someone with a sense of humour."

Eric's tweet also encouraged other beleaguered parents to share their offsprings' "gifts."

Like this.

And this.

And this, which actually REALLY sweet.

Eric and his wife's parenting genius is the very definition of making lemonade with one of life's many lemons.
