‘Baahubali 2’ becomes India’s biggest success ever in just 6 days

New Delhi: S.S. Rajamouli’s war epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion smashed all box office records to become India’s top grosser in just six days. The film has made a worldwide gross of Rs792 crore, reported trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Baahubali 2 beat Aamir Khan’s PK (2014) to take the top spot in the list of highest grossing Indian films. PK had a worldwide collection of Rs743 crore. The film has also beaten its first part, Baahubali: The Beginning, which grossed over Rs500 crore in 2015.

Rajamouli’s smash hit is on a record breaking spree the world over, notching up unprecedented numbers. It opened at number 3 at the North American box office with over $10 million and counting in its first week.

The Hindi version of the film, which was presented by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, alone has notched up Rs375 crore.

Starring actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti, Anuskha Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film is looking to manage a worldwide gross of over Rs1,000 crore, which will be coveted milestone for Indian films.
