Citibank shuffles SME banking heads

Mumbai: Citibank NA on Thursday elevated Rajat Madhok to head the bank’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) business in Asia Pacific based out of Hong Kong.

As a result, Tushar Vikram has been appointed as head of commercial banking in India with immediate effect, the bank said in an emailed statement.

Citibank’s commercial banking business services SMEs in 30 cities in India with a turnover of up to $500 million. Madhok has been with Citibank since 1996 and was previously in charge of Citi’s global banking business for western and eastern India.

Vikram also joined Citi in 1996 started with the credit risk management division before moving on to corporate banking between 2000 and 2007. Before his latest elevation he was responsible for Citi’s public sector franchise in India and corporate banking business in the northern part of the country.
