Indore is India’s cleanest city, says govt survey

Indore in Madhya Pradesh has been declared the cleanest city in India among 434 cities, according to the government cleanliness ranking. State capital Bhopal has been ranked second.

Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda is the dirtiest city while Bhusawal in Maharashtra is last but one in the cleanliness survey. Gujarat has a maximum of 12 cities among the top 50 clean cities, followed by Madhya Pradesh with 11 and Andhra Pradesh with eight.
