Novartis selects HCL Tech to manage its global infrastructure

New Delhi: HCL Technologies Ltd has signed a contract with Novartis AG to manage its global infrastructure across the more than 70 countries the pharmaceutical company is present in, HCL said on Tuesday.

The company did not disclose the value of the contract.

With this deal, HCL, India’s fourth largest software exporter, is now managing the infrastructure of four of the top seven pharmaceutical companies worldwide, the company said.

“This partnership creates an environment of continuous service improvement, transformation and innovation,” said Ashish Gupta, executive vice-president and head of infrastructure services, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), at HCL Technologies.

Shares of HCL went up 2.69% to `1,425 apiece at 11:45am, while the Sensex rose 1.81% to 23,976.30 points.
