Tata Motors vice-chairman Ravi Kant retires

New Delhi: Tata Motors Ltd on Monday said non-executive vice-chairman Ravi Kant retired on 31 May.

Kant retired on attaining the age of 70 as per the company’s policy, the Mumbai-based auto firm said in a statement.

Kant was managing director of the company from July 2005 to June 2009 and thereafter non-executive vice-chairman.

“On behalf of the board and Tata Motors I would like to thank Ravi for his valuable contribution in the growth and development of the company. I wish him all the best for the future,” Tata Motors chairman Cyrus P. Mistry said in the statement.
