Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos and novelist Mackenzie Bezos have announced their separation. He tweeted on Jan. 9, 2019, “After a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends.” As Bezos, who is worth over $137 billion – according to Forbes – and his wife sort out the terms of their separation, we look at some of the most expensive divorce settlements over the years.
