The Budget Makers Decode FM’s ‘Saptarishi’ Budget
In an exclusive interview with Business Today TV's Managing Editor Siddharth Zarabi, TV Somanathan, the Finance Secretary, expressed confidence that the Rs 10 lakh crore capital expenditure target outlined in the Budget is well within reach. He also added that the three main areas (for maximum spending) are - railways, highways, and some specific sectors, like the petroleum sector. Meanwhile, Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Secretary of DIPAM says the government is focusing on a calibrated disinvestment strategy.
