The Serum Institute of India (SII), which is located in Pune, is in the news for its herculean drive to manufacture COVID-19 vaccines. Headed by Adar Poonawalla, the son of founder Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla (pictured), the company is family-owned and the biggest in the world in terms of scale.
