External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj had assured Ganesh’s mother help, saying the government was doing its best to find him.

Half a dozen people have been charged in Belgium following Tuesday’s attacks on an airport and the metro. The death toll rose to 35 on Monday, excluding the two airport bombers and a third who blew himself up on a rush-hour train.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks in the Belgian capital, home to the headquarters of both NATO and the European Union.
