Adityanath government releases Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar from prison

The Uttar Pradesh government let off Bhim Army chief and Dalit leader Chandrashekhar alias Ravan from prison in the wee hours of Friday. He was put behind bars in 2017 under National Security Act (NSA) charges in connection with 2017 Saharanpur caste violence case. A large number of his supporters gathered outside jail and they took selfies with their leaders. The government took the decision of his release because of Chandrashekhar’s mother’s appeal. He also pledged to unseat BJP from the state and Centre.
