After the Bharat Janata Party had a clean sweep at the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 yesterday, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap took to social media and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also expressed a concern in his tweet. Referring to himself as a 'dissenter', he asked the Prime Minister how to deal with followers who are celebrating the landslide victory by threatening his daughter.

He wrote, "Dear @narendramodi sir. Congratulations on your victory and thank you for the message of inclusiveness. Sir please also tell us how do we deal with these followers of yours who celebrate your victory by threatening my daughter with messages like this for me being your dissenter."

Along with a tweet, he shared the image of a comment of a person on his daughter's picture. The comment had rather vitriolic comments directed towards her.

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit reacted to this post and wrote to Kashyap in a scathing tweet, "This twitter handle seems to be photoshopped because it doesn’t exist. Seems to be created by an #UrbanNaxal to give an opportunity to somebody to abuse #Modi when the entire World is happy."

Right below his post, Pandit commented, "If it’s true dn I am of d opinion, that ds act shud not be just condemned bt tackled. Similar thing hd hppnd with my dgthr, I md a police complaint regarding d miscreant and didn't helplessly crib to d PM bcoz for me, my daughter's dignity and safety meant more dn my politics (sic).

An irate Anurag Kashyap responded that this was an Instagram handle and not a Twitter one. He wrote back, "Search for it on Instagram not on twitter you moron .. this is my daughter getting a threat a**h*le."

Pandit lashed out,"Mind your language Mr. Kashyap. Read my very next tweet on the thread.Let’s file a complaint with the police and get him arrested than asking the PM what to do. I am sure you know that law enforcing agencies exist in this country of ours."

Pandit also said that Kashyap was "sending him drunken texts" and that he was "in shock after the election results". He shared a screenshot of a conversation with Kashyap and wrote, "Clearly U r under shock after today’s election results. Drunk texting me abuses, tagging the wrong person on Twitter... please pass the joint quicker.

Also tagging @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice so they can track chowkidar_ramsanghi_’ and take action."

Unlike many other celebrities, Kashyap has never held himself back from criticising the government. His Twitter bio reads as "Neither Left nor Right or Centre. I am Diagonal."

In fact, it was just a month ago, when he took to Twitter and shared a Vote For Modi WhatSapp message that he had received and called it "self-explanatory."

Prime Minister Narendra had a grand victory yesterday at Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher and others sent congratulatory wishes to him.
