Vijay's 64th film Master with director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to surpass the Rs 100 crore-mark in Tamil Nadu today (January 20). So far, the film has collected over Rs 90 crore at the Tamil Nadu box office and is still going steady across different cities and districts. After a long wait over 10 months due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, Master released in theatres worldwide on January 13.

MASTER BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 7

It has been a week since Master released in theatres in India and a few foreign countries. At a time when there is less turnout in theatres due to Covid-19 pandemic, Master has managed to lure in people to the theatres and is wreaking havoc at the box office.

In six days, Master has managed to gross Rs 90 crore at the box office in Tamil Nadu. Trade analysts suggest that the film is likely to cross the Rs 100 crore-mark in Tamil Nadu today. It is indeed an achievement to be celebrated by the Master team, distributors and the theatre owners.

In Trichy (a city in Tamil Nadu), Master has managed to rake in over Rs 1 crore in a week. On its seventh day of release, Vijay's film has managed to earn Rs 13 lakh from the 48 shows across the city. A Twitter user wrote, "#Master 7th day Trichy City.
