'They let us run riot through the streets!' Chris Hemsworth is swamped by fans in India as he films 'most intense action sequences ever done' for new Netflix movie

He's been hard at work on the set of the new Nextflix movie Dhaka. 

As as Chris Hemsworth filmed action scenes for the war drama in India, he was surrounded by hundreds of screaming fans. 

The 35-year-old actor appeared on camera briefly in a video shared to his Instagram on Sunday, before panning to the swarming crowd.

Fans chased after the actor, who was soaked in prop blood and wearing khaki combat gear, as he entered a car. 

Hundreds of people were seen in the streets around the vehicle, cheering and shouting.

Chris also panned up to share his view of surrounding high-rise building, with dozens of people shouting and waving from balconies. 

The Thor star captioned the incredible video: 'That’s a wrap for the India portion of our shoot, next stop Thailand.

'Can't say enough how grateful we are to the people of India for letting us run riot through the streets while shooting what I think could be some of the most intense and exciting action sequences ever done.'

Chris went on to say his director Sam Hargrave is 'bringing it to a whole new level'. 

The hotly anticipated Netflix war movie was written by Avengers: Infinity War co-director Joe Russo.

The Australian actor has shared photos from the Indian location shoots several times, in which he he surrounded by fans. 

It comes after Chris' wife Elsa Pataky revealed she was concerned that the #MeToo movement could go too far.

Speaking with Stellar on Sunday, the 42-year-old stated: 'To have change, you must always go to the other extreme, just for people to see it and have a voice. But we have to be careful.'
