Kilauea, an active Hawaiian volcano, continues to spew lava after erupting on May 3, 2018, prompting evacuation orders for nearly 2,000 people. The volcano has been splattering lava and spewing dark gray plume of ash about 10,000 feet into the sky, and has triggered hundreds of small earthquakes since the volcanic eruption.
