Rohit Sharma now has the highest number of T20 international centuries as he blasted his 4th hundred in the second T20I at the Bharat Ratan Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday.

Rohit became the first batsman to score four hundreds in the shortest format in international cricket and hence, went past New Zealand's Colin Munro, who has scored three centuries.

Rohit had earlier surpassed Virat Kohli as the highest run-scorer in T20Is for India. His previous century had come back in July of this year when he was 100 not out against England in Bristol.

Incidentally it was at this same match that he had crossed the 2000-run mark and was the fifth batsman in men's cricket to do so.

Rohit had failed in the first game scoring only 6 at his favourite hunting ground, Eden Gardens in Kolkata. But on Tuesday he battered the West Indies bowlers all around the park at the newly-built stadium.

After playing out a maiden first over of the innings, Rohit along with Shikhar Dhawan started the onslaught, swatting the young Windies bowlers for fours and sixes with relative ease.

He remained unbeaten at the end of the innings on 111 from 61 balls and hit 8 fours and 7 sixes, as he powered India to finish 195/2 from 20 overs.

He became the second Indian man and third Indian overall after women's team star Mithali Raj and Kohli to score 2000 runs in the format.

Rohit is now the second-highest run-scorer with 2203 runs in 86 T20Is at an average of 33.89 behind New Zealand's Martin Guptill (2271). He overtook Pakistan's Shoaib Malik (2190) and New Zealand's Brendon McCullum (2140).

In the course of his innings, Rohit put himself joint third highest on the list of most sixes in an innings. He equalled Yuvraj Singh, who accomplished the feat twice (vs England in Durban, 2007 and vs Pakistan in Ahmedabad, 2012).

Rohit in fact, holds the record with 10 sixes in an innings that he hit against Sri Lanka in Indore last year.

He is also India's most prolific six hitter in T20Is. Rohit also went past New Zealand great Brendon McCullum on the list of most T20I sixes. Rohit now has 96 sixes as compared to McCullum's 91 maximums.
