'Unique' world records held by Indian cricketers

After a failed innings of just 7 at Eden Gardens on Thursday and an underwhelming 28 in Chennai in the first ODI, Rohit was off to a blazing start in Indore scoring his fastest ODI fifty in 42 balls, surpassing his 43-ball half century against Sri Lanka in Pallekele last month.

Rohit began his innings cautiously and finally began his onslaught in the 5th over, hitting Cummins over the rope. Rohit then hit a couple of more sixes before bringing in his fifty in style with a maximum over long-on off Ashton Agar.

Rohit and Ajinkya Rahane started India's chase of 294 brilliantly with both of them scoring a fifty each and putting up their first fifty-plus opening stand in ODIs.
