Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar feature in the top 10 of Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. Kohli, with Rs 228.09 crore in earnings in 2018 is second in the list while MS Dhoni (Rs 101.77 crore) is fifth.

Sachin Tendulkar, who retired from international cricket in 2013, is ninth in the list with earnings of Rs 80 crore in 2018.

Kohli is the biggest brand in cricket. The India captain is expected to break most of Sachin Tendulkar's records in ODIs. Kohli is second in the list of most century makers in one-day internationals - he has 38 hundreds already. Sachin Tendulkar finished with 51 ODI hundreds.

Kohli enjoyed a phenomenal 2017. Last year, he scored 2818 international runs across formats - 1059 runs in 10 Tests, 1460 runs in 26 ODIs and 299 runs in 10 T20 Internationals.

While India have failed to win away Test series in South Africa and England, Kohli has continued to bully bowlers across the world in 2018. In South Africa, Kohli scored 871 runs from 11 matches (3 Tests, 5 ODIs and 2 T20Is).

Later in the year, Kohli top scored in the five-Test series in England even as India went down 4-1.

Meanwhile Dhoni, who has struggled on the field in 2018, continues to be a favourite with brands. The former India captain did not hit a single half-century in 20 ODIs in 2018, managing a paltry 275 runs at an average of 25.

Tendulkar, not surprisingly, still commands a strong brand value. India's most celebrated cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, had played the last of his 200 Tests five years ago.

He is the only man to score 100 international hundreds and is the leading scorer in Tests and one-day internationals.
