The Schumacher family have remained notoriously quiet since the F1 legend suffered serious life changing head injuries in a skiing accident in 2013.

But on Thursday the family made a rare statement in support of a new charity initiative which Schumacher’s legacy will be directly lent to.

Schumacher’s manager Sabine Kehm announced the family’s endorsement of a unique charity poster celebrating his decorated career.

Released by the ‘Keep Fighting Foundation’ the poster aims to raise funds for the German based ‘Never Give Up’ charity.

“We are delighted to be partnering with ZOOM to raise money for the Keep Fighting Foundation,” Kehm said on behalf of the Schumacher family.

“This is a stunning way to celebrate Michael’s iconic career and by the way a very beautiful poster.”

Despite the family’s public communication there was no update or indication in any change on Schumacher’s condition.

Most recently Schumacher’s son, Mick, claimed the F3 World Title in a brilliant late season surge.
