Omar Abdulrahman has been Al Ain's most consistent performer in the AFC Champions League 2017 campaign which has seen the UAE-based side qualify for the knockout stages as Group C winners.

In what was their final group game against Bunyodkor, it was once again the 25-year-old who turned in a masterclass in midfield, driving Al Ain to a comprehensive 3-0 victory. He had a hand in every goal, scoring one and assisting the other two, tormenting the Uzbek team's defence throughout the game.

He came up with a delightful pass to Nasser Al Shamrani in the first half for the first goal before scoring a fantastic freekick in the second half. Even though the result was sealed, it was from Abdulrahman's corner that Ibrahim Diaky headed home Al Ain's third goal of the night.

He was involved in literally every single Al Ain attack. The 2016 Asian Footballer of the Year was at ease all through the game, racking up to 95 touches of the ball and had a impressive 83% passing accuracy as well.

His intricate dribbling and intelligent movement also saw him win his teams three fouls on the night as Bunyodkor failed to handle Abdulrahman completely.

The win meant Al Ain finished as the group toppers despite not seeming to be at their best at times over the course of the group campaign. His five goals and six assists in six games stand testimony to his importance for the UAE side.

Omar Abdulrahman is our Asian Player of the Week.
